The Big Payback annual giving day is returning on Thursday, May 2, and Friends of the Nashville Farmers’ Market is excited to take part in this monumental event.

The Big Payback, hosted by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, is

a community-wide giving day that celebrates Middle Tennessee’s spirit of generosity and supports the life-changing work of area nonprofits.

Kicking off at midnight on Thursday, May 2, the 24-hour online giving day helps organizations, like Friends of the Nashville Farmers’ Market, raise much-needed funds and bring awareness to pressing needs in our community.

Gifts made to our Friends group and other non profits during The Big Payback are amplified by incentives and awards and may help us qualify for special prizes and bonuses throughout the day.

How We Support Our Farmers & The Market

Farmhands' Dinner

The Nashville Farmers' Market celebrates the end of a successful summer with its farmers, friends, families and community members. The annual Farmhand Dinner will offer guests a unique opportunity to learn more about the Nashville Farmers' Market while enjoying a family-style, multiple-course meal with the men and women who produced it. The Farmhand Dinner features the collective efforts of numerous talented Nashville chefs who will create a casual, yet inspiring Southern meal made with fresh ingredients grown by the Market's local farmers.

Night Market Events

Night Market is one of the most unique shopping experiences in Nashville, and an excellent venue for date night and where singles mingle. Live music, cocktails, craft beer in the Picnic Tap, local wine, multiple food choices from our many local restaurant merchants, including Indian, Gyros, BBQ, Jamaican, Asian, American Grill, Pizza, Creole, Crepes, Sushi, Mexican, and more! Fresh vegetables from local farmers, artisan foods, and crafts are all available at Night Market.

Cookouts & Contests

As the growing season produces fresh produce the Nashville Farmers’ Market celebrates the most notable with festivals and jubilees. Starting with the Strawberry Jubilee, Community Farm Day, International Pepperfest, and The Turnip Green Festival are only a few. Most all the festivals offer cooking competitions for the featured fruit or veggie. The Friends of the Nashville Farmers’ Market grills the featured items which our donated by our great local farmers or offer items at our cookout.

The Nashville Farmers’ Market is a unique part of our city and deserves our support.
